Information you give us. When you fill out our quote or contact forms, save a quote, or reach out by phone or email, we collect the details you provide, which may include:

• Your name, email address, and phone number;
• Your event address or location, event type, event dates, and approximate guest count;
• The items and options in your quote, and any notes or messages you send us.

Information collected automatically.Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the Site running. The Site stores a saved quote and a one-time intro preference in your browser's local storage on your device; this stays on your device and is not sent to us unless you submit a request.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and the Site is intended for adults arranging events.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Respond to your request and build, confirm, and deliver your quote and rental;
• Calculate delivery distance and fees from your event address;
• Communicate with you about your event, reservation, and balance;
• Operate, secure, and improve the Site and our Services;
• Keep records and comply with our legal and tax obligations.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for others' marketing. We share information only as needed to operate, with:

• Service providers who help us run the Site and serve you, including:
  • Google Maps Platform — to autocomplete and geocode your event address so we can calculate delivery distance (subject to Google's privacy terms);
  • our email delivery provider (currently Resend, with Web3Forms as a fallback) — to deliver your request to our office inbox;
  • our hosting provider (currently Railway) — to host and operate the Site.
• Professional advisors and authorities when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Opal, our clients, or others.

These providers process information on our behalf for the purposes above.

4. Cookies and tracking

The Site uses your browser's local storage for core functionality (saving your quote and remembering the intro animation). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers. Third-party services we rely on (such as Google Maps) may set their own cookies governed by their privacy policies. You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser settings at any time, though doing so may reset your saved quote.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your request, fulfill your rental, and meet our legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations, and then delete or de-identify it. Information saved in your browser's local storage stays until you clear it.

6. Your choices and rights

• Access and correction. You can ask us what information we hold about you and request that we correct or update it.
• Deletion. You can ask us to delete the information you have provided, subject to records we must keep by law.
• Communications. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time by telling us; we may still send messages necessary to your active rental.

7. Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and we rely on reputable providers who do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
